The challenge
The redevelopment of the Headingley Stadium site needed instantaneous domestic hot water for both the Leeds Rhinos rugby stadium and Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Restrictions on site meant the plant had to be kept low, and easy to handle and position.
The solution
Two bespoke packages from our NeroStore range, each providing 420 kW with 1,800 litres of storage. Each package combines an 1,800 litre thermal store buffer vessel, a compact brazed plate heat exchanger, electrically actuated control and high-limit valves, a secondary shunt pump and controls.
To suit the site, we designed the packages around larger-diameter storage vessels, keeping the overall height to a minimum. Alongside the packages we supplied storage calorifiers, unvented kits and immersion heaters.
