U-Cyl
Pre-plumbed heat pump cylinders with an integrated buffer. Standard sizes from 120 to 300 litres, with other sizes built to order.
- Universal: for connection to any air source heat pump
- No electrical control box: the heat pump’s own controls switch the immersion heater and the heat pump (the U-Cyl+ adds a control box with relays)
- Sizes from 120 to 300 litres
- Standard 550–600 mm and slimline 475 mm wide
- Integrated 50 L stainless steel buffer (30 L on slimline models)
- Heat pump coil 2.29–3.31 m²
- 3 kW immersion heater in the cylinder and another in the buffer
- Tank kit not included
- Fitted with an A-rated circulating pump, a 2-port heating zone valve, a 3-port hot water diverter valve and a 28 mm magnetic filter
- Primary pipework and components are all 28 mm compression
- Potable expansion vessel and 28 mm flow setter supplied separately
- ErP class C
- 25 year guarantee on stainless steel unvented cylinders up to 300 litres, subject to annual servicing.

Universal pre-plumbed cylinder. U-Cyl is designed and built in our own UK factory.

U-Cyl or U-Cyl+?
Both are universal pre-plumbed cylinders, for any air source heat pump, with the same buffer, coil and factory-fitted pipework. The difference is the electrics (and the U-Cyl+ comes with the tank kit).
- U-Cyl+ has an electrical control box with two relays. One lets the heat pump switch the immersion heater (a 13 amp load some heat pumps can’t switch themselves), for legionella protection. The other switches the heat pump on and off through a volt-free contact, for heat pumps that need one.
- U-Cyl has no electrical control box. Choose it when the heat pump’s own controls, or other controls on site, switch the immersion heater and the heat pump.
